Ouah Wau (to Donna Haraway)
(2022)

Material: Painted stainless steel.
Dimensions: 800 x 390 cm.

Ouah Wau (to Donna Haraway) supports a dangerously leaning 150-year-old pine in the Parc de la Grange, Geneva. The different shapes it is made of serve as games and exercises for small or large humans or dogs which are able to run freely in this part of the park. The work thereby supports a link between trees and animals as “companion species”, quoting Donna Haraway to whom the work is dedicated. Ouah Wau (to Donna Haraway) attempts to be a humble anti-monument in a city where there are only 3 monuments to women, seeking to give value and recognition to the fundamental interdependence between species.
